Magheross Graphics
Who are we?
Magheross Graphics was started by Beatrice Reynolds over ten years ago to provide high-quality cost-effective publications design and typesetting, together with print buying when required. Since then, Magheross has completed dozens of major projects, from series of newsletters to books of up to 900 pages. The print files have always been of impeccable quality and can safely be sent to printers anywhere in the World for output with no further intervention: knowing the source, printers confidently offer the most reasonable prices. Most projects are also supplied in pdf for electronic distribution. Every project has been completed on schedule and within its budget.
Before turning to publications production, Beatrice had considerable experience in document preparation and in administration, including the management of a large office and overseeing the installation of computer systems for a London accountancy practice and a new prestige social club.
Now Clyde Reynolds has left his full-time employment as Chief of Publications for the World Meteorological Organization to join Beatrice, so that we can expand the range of publishing activities to include writing, editing and the preparation of graphics. After gaining a BSc, carrying out post-graduate research and teaching science in a higher-education college, Clyde worked as a technical author for a world-renowned technology company and as an editor for two major UK publishers before joining FAOs Information Division as Chief, Special Writing.
As well as working on the content, illustration and presentation of a vast range of published material from seven-language visual instruction books to major scientific monographs, Clyde has a wide knowledge of printing and electronic techniques, for example, he installed FAOs first computer graphics system and managed all WMOs external printing.
In addition to his formal employment as editor, writer, publications manager and printing specialist, Clyde has had an active career as a freelance journalist and author. He has written some fifteen books on photography and related subjects and contributed to publications as diverse as womens magazines and the Encyclopedia Brittanica, covering subjects ranging from medicine and the environment to physical sciences and technology.
